Frequently Asked Questions & Additional Information

Some of our most frequently asked questions are outlined below. We will continue to update this page over time. Feel free to contact us at starkbrophy@gmail.com with any additional questions you may have or if you would like further clarification.

  • Attire for each celebratory event is outlined below.

    • Welcome Party: Winter smart casual; jeans with a collared shirt or blouse, sweater dress with leggings and boots, etc. Think comfy & cozy!

    • Ceremony: Winter elegant cocktail attire, with outer layers. Our ceremony will be pondside (weather permitting). Bring a warm coat, gloves, scarf, warm shoes, and a love for snow.

    • Reception: Winter elegant cocktail attire. Think rich gem tones, suit and tie, elegant cocktail dresses, floor-length dresses or jumpsuits, etc. Rich jewel tones or winter neutrals.

If you’re curious what the wedding party is wearing, the bridesmaids will be in formal dresses in different shades of blue, while the groomsmen will be in grey suits.

  • All wedding events on Friday and Saturday will be at:

    Killington Grand Resort Hotel
    228 E Mountain Rd
    Killington, VT 05751

Our venue is handicap accessible. See our travel page for more information.

  • Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.

View our weekend itinerary for a full schedule of events.

  • The bride and groom share a deep love for winter, and are aiming for an outdoor ceremony pondside at the Killington Grand. Guests will walk on a plowed, level surface made of pavement with radiant heating underneath to prevent ice build up. Extreme conditions will send us indoors. We will update the homepage of our website by 10:00 am on February 7 to let our guests know if our ceremony will be indoors or outdoors.

    The reception will be indoors.

  • Immediately following the ceremony, the bride & groom will be doing a celebratory ski run off Snowshed.

Guests may use this time in between the ceremony and reception to enjoy a warm beverage while watching the bride & groom take their celebratory run, or check their coats & warm layers, and change into their dancing shoes.

  • Unfortunately, due to venue capacity limits and budget constraints, our celebration is by invitation only. We will only be able to welcome those addressed on your invitation, and we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the littles at home so you can celebrate with us.

Your invitation will have an RSVP response card for each member of your party.

Email us at starkbrophy@gmail.com with any questions or further clarification.
